Mie Takikawa

Mie Takikawa is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kansas and a visiting researcher at Sophia University Institute of Comparative Culture in 2026. Mie’s research focuses on the intersections between gender, social class, and nationality and the impact on the social reproduction of labor under neoliberal capitalism. As an interdisciplinary feminist scholar who has been trained in cultural anthropology and East Asian Studies, her research explores socio-economic disparity and labor exploitation in the digital creative economy.
